Corendon Airlines signed a sponsorship agreement with 1. FC Nürnberg, one of Germany's popular football clubs! Corendon Airlines, which has become a brand in this market with its successful touristic operations in Germany for many years, introduced its aircraft designed specifically for the German football club 1. FC Nürnberg with a press conference held at Nuremberg Airport on 24 July.
Corendon Airlines introduced the Boeing 737-800 type aircraft, which is specially designed for the 1. FC Nürnberg Football Club, one of the popular football teams of Germany, at the Nuremberg Airport with a welcoming ceremony attended by club representatives and the Mayor of Nuremberg. Corendon Airlines aircraft, which will perform the flights to Turkey and Europe as a base in Nuremberg in upcoming season, was greeted by a water salute, a tradition of aviation, while making its first flight to the airport.
Underlining that the sponsorship with the Corendon Airlines is promising for both parties in this difficult period, 1. FC Nürnberg Commercial Director Niels Rossow stated that they hoped that this cooperation would contribute to both parties to achieve successful results. “As 1. FC Nürnberg, we would like to thank Corendon Airlines. As of today, our fans will be able to travel with a plane bearing the logo of our club while flying from Nuremberg to holiday destinations. This is a proud development for both our club and our fans.”

In addition to being designed with the colours of 1. FC Nürnberg, one of the popular clubs of Germany, holding the second most championships in the Bundesliga after FC Bayern Munich, the Corendon Airlines aircraft is equipped with the club's logo on the body and tail on both sides. On the nose of the aircraft, there is a special application for Max Morlock, the legendary football player of the club, after whom the popular stadium of 1. FC Nürnberg is named. Also, in the headrests inside the aircraft, a special design is used for the colours and logo of the club.
Emphasizing that they are very happy as a result of their cooperation with Corendon Airlines and that they are planning many special projects together, 1. FC Nürnberg club officials stated that in the new season Corendon Airlines would also take part in the home matches of the team with various events and surprises.
At the press conference held at the Nuremberg Airport, Yıldıray Karaer, Chairman of the Board of Corendon Airlines, stated “As Corendon Airlines, we will organize approx. 50 flights on a weekly basis from Nuremberg to the tourist destinations in Greece, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Italy and Israel in October. As a result of our activities in this period, we aim to be the largest tourist airline flying from Nuremberg Airport. We sponsored such a strong team in order to strengthen our branding activities in Germany. We hope that our cooperation will be beneficial for both parties.”
