Corendon Airlines is celebrating: Almost 20 years ago, on April 12, 2005, the leisure airline operated its very first flight, taking passengers to a holiday destination. The inaugural flight departed from Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands and landed at the newly opened Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. This marked a double milestone, as Corendon Airlines was the first carrier to transport passengers to the newly launched airport on the eastern side of the bustling metropolis. Since that initial flight, Corendon Airlines has undergone significant growth, carrying approximately 37.5 million passengers over the past two decades.
